Navarro\u2019s first stop was at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, in Mexico City, where he presented \u201cNEOs: Rapid-Response Spectrophotometric Characterization of Near Earth Objects with RATIR.\u201d He presented the same topic in Ensenada, Mexico. Next, he went to a national astronomy meeting in Puebla, Mexico, where he presented his poster \u201cNear Earth Objects Characterization with the 1.5m Telescope from the National Astronomic Observatory.\u201d His last stop was Knoxville, Tennessee, where he presented \u201cFirst Results from the Rapid-Response Spectrophotometric Characterization of Near-Earth Objects using RATIR\u201d at the Division for Planetary Sciences meeting.<\/li>\n<li>Ph.D. student <strong>Erin Aadland <\/strong>published her first paper, \u201cShedding Light on the Isolation of Luminous Blue Variables,\u201d with alumna <strong>Kathryn Neugent<\/strong>. The paper discussed the massive star evolution, the different types of stars and where they are located.<\/li>\n<li>This summer, five students from the<strong> Department of Geography, Planning and<a href=\"http:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/wordpresst\/uploads\/sites\/153\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Unknown.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-53413 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/wordpresst\/uploads\/sites\/153\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Unknown-800x600.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"308\" height=\"231\" srcset=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/402\/2018\/11\/Unknown-800x600.jpeg 800w, https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/402\/2018\/11\/Unknown-464x348.jpeg 464w, https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/402\/2018\/11\/Unknown-232x174.jpeg 232w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 308px) 100vw, 308px\" \/><\/a>\u00a0Recreation<\/strong> went to Plymouth, England, through the American Planning Association and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rtpi.org.uk\/media\/3047917\/branchout_autumn_2018.pdf?dm_i=1MBG,5XBS3,QIICQ5,N6YG6,1\">Royal Town Planning Institute<\/a>. Each student was assigned to a different division of the planning department and was given projects such as an affordable housing satisfaction survey and a neighborhood plan. Students also attended city council, cabinet and planning commission meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Volleyball player <strong>Jordan Anderson<\/strong> was named Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row. She totaled 46 digs against Montana and Montana State.
