increase their knowledge in a variety of skills with two trainings being offered, both the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/human-resources\/register-for-training\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Survey Design Using Qualtrics<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (DGT04) and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/human-resources\/register-for-training\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Student Data Deep Dive Training<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (DGT03). \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Survey Design Using Qualtrics (DGT04)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This session will provide knowledge towards the best practices for survey research with a primary focus on the use of the Qualtrics, the online survey software for which NAU has purchased a campus-wide license. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Attendees can expect to leave with an understanding of:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Benefits and drawbacks of survey research<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guidelines for effective survey design, i.e., question wording and ordering<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strategies to increase survey response\/completion rates<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How to implement a survey using Qualtrics<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Advanced features of Qualtrics<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trainings will be held in the ITS Training Lab from 1:30-3 p.m. Oct. 19 and from 10-11:30 a.m. Nov. 9.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Student Data Deep Dive Training (DGT03)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This session will provide an explanation of university census and cohort processes while demonstrating a variety of student reports and dashboards online and in Business Objects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Attendees can expect to leave with an understanding of:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Census and cohort definitions\/timelines<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">State and federal governing guidelines<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Online census reports, i.e., degree-seeking trends, enrollment highlights and census class information<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Dashboards for reviewing daily enrollment activity and retention\/graduation rates<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Business Objects reports including all plans, all enrolled headcounts and census class details<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Training for this session will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. Oct. 23 in the Babbitt Administrative Center Boardroom 206 or by Skype.
