{"id":52833,"date":"2018-10-04T09:10:13","date_gmt":"2018-10-04T16:10:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/?p=52833"},"modified":"2018-10-05T14:27:22","modified_gmt":"2018-10-05T21:27:22","slug":"symphony-orchestra-family-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/symphony-orchestra-family-weekend\/","title":{"rendered":"NAU symphony orchestra plays classics for family weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Enjoy the celebration of sound at the Northern Arizona University Symphony Orchestra performance this family weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The Symphony Orchestra will begin the season by playing familiar classics, such as Rossini\u2019s \u201cLa gazza ladra Overture,\u201d Wagner\u2019s \u201cFlying Dutchman Overture,\u201d Theofanidis\u2019 \u201cRainbow Body\u201d and Mahler\u2019s \u201cAdagietto from Symphony No. 5.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is something for everyone in this energy-filled celebration of sound,\u201d director <strong>Daniel O\u2019Bryant <\/strong>said.<\/p>\n<p>The concert will be held at 3 p.m. Oct. 7 in the <a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/auditoria\/ardrey-memorial-auditorium\/\">Ardrey Memorial Auditorium<\/a>. Tickets are free to students and youth, $7.50 for seniors and NAU employees and $12.50 for general admissions.
