Grand Canyon University was ranked No. 2, and the University of Arizona ranked third.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Several members of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/criminology-and-criminal-justice\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> represented NAU at the 2018 annual meeting of the Society for the Study of Social Problems Aug. 10-12 in Philadelphia. Department chair <\/span><b>Luis Fernandez<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> served as the 2018 president of the association, while Regents professor <\/span><b>Raymond Michalowski<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> received the Lee Founders Award in recognition of his distinguished career contributions. P<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">rofessor <\/span><b>Nancy Wonders,\u00a0<\/b>s<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">enior lecturer <\/span><b>Stephanie Williams<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0and graduate students <\/span><b>Meredith Brown<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Julie Cheney<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Illse Ortiz<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> presented papers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Robert Kellar<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, an associate professor of practice in the Center for Bioengineering Innovation,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was recognized as a top medical professional in the Health Care Heroes program by the Phoenix Business Journal. He was a finalist in the Innovator category for his work in advancing the field of regenerative medicine. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NAU has been ranked as the best <\/span><b>master\u2019s degree program in accounting<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the state of Arizona by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.accountingedu.org\/best-masters-degree-programs-in-accounting-for-2018.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AccountingEDU.org<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. AccountingEDU selects schools based on rates of those who pass the CPA exam the first time.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NAU is listed as one of the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.online-bachelors-degrees.com\/best-online-bachelor-hospitality-tourism\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">best online schools for <\/span><b>Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism<\/b><\/a> <b>degree programs<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
