{"id":52265,"date":"2018-08-28T15:25:35","date_gmt":"2018-08-28T22:25:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/?p=52265"},"modified":"2018-08-28T15:25:35","modified_gmt":"2018-08-28T22:25:35","slug":"science-engineering-day-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/science-engineering-day-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Accelerate into the future at NAU\u2019s Science and Engineering Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Northern Arizona University\u2019s faculty, staff and students have the opportunity to share their ideas about the future of science with the Flagstaff community at NAU Science and Engineering Day on Sept. 29. \u00a0The event is part of the annual <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scifest.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Flagstaff Festival of Science<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which has the theme of Accelerating into the Future. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In past years, booths for the event have included <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/library\/makerlab\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cline Library\u2019s Maker Lab<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> where visitors can experience 3-D printing; the scanning electron microscope, where visitors can view bugs and other objects up close; and a booth for parents to help teach children vocabulary. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NAU Science and Engineering Day will be held from noon to 3 p.m Sept. 29 at the Science and Health building. People who are interested in sharing their hands-on science projects can still register. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Individuals or groups interested in participating can fill out the online <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/foundation.nau.edu\/scienceandengineeringday.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">participation form<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by Sept. 8.
