She is the first Lumberjack women\u2019s basketball player to earn Player of the Week honors from the Big Sky conference office in almost three years.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dylan Thomas<\/strong> (B.S. Chemistry, 2017) was selected for an Undergraduate Research Presentation award at the Rocky Mountain Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society held in Loveland, Colorado, from Oct. 25-27.\u00a0His presentation on \u201cCellular Toxicity Associated with Triterpene Production in an Escherichia coli Heterologous Host\u201d was one of five selected from more than 70 entrants, and it described the work he completed as an undergraduate in <strong>Andy Koppisch\u2019s<\/strong> research team.\u00a0Thomas is now pursuing a doctorate in chemistry with an emphasis on renewable fuels at the Colorado School of Mines.\n<p><figure id=\"attachment_49957\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-49957\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/wordpresst\/uploads\/sites\/153\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/marks_elijah.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-49957\" src=\"http:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/wordpresst\/uploads\/sites\/153\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/marks_elijah-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Elijah Marks\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-49957\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Elijah Marks<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/li>\n<li>Senior wide receiver <strong>Elijah Marks<\/strong> was recognized as an Associated Press FCS\u00a0All-America Second Team selection and became the 133<sup>rd<\/sup> Lumberjack to be honoredwith this status.\u00a0He ranked fourth among FCS national leaders with 117.0 receiving yards per game and seventh in receptions per contest at 7.1.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/student-spotlight-dec-14-2017\/\">Kudos to these students Do you have a spotlight item to share with the NAU community?
