With Halloween and the Day of the Dead approaching, Northern Arizona University organizations are offering a number of events for students, employees and members of the community to enjoy the holidays.<\/p>\n
Oct. 31, Halloween festivities<\/strong><\/p>\n The Tuesday Night Film Series is showing \u201cYoung Frankenstein\u201d from 7-9 p.m. at the Cline Library Assembly Hall.<\/p>\n The Health and Learning Center is holding the Second Annual Heights and Frights from 6-9 p.m. at the climbing wall. It is for experienced climbers or people who want to try it out. It includes a costume contest.<\/p>\n The National Residence Hall Honorary is hosting a Trunk or Treat in the Skydome parking lot from 6-8 p.m. It is open to the NAU and Flagstaff communities. Clubs and organizations are signing up to have their own \u201ctrunk.\u201d For more information, email Dylan Graham at\u00a0nrhh@nau.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n Nov. 4, Day of the Dead celebration<\/strong><\/p>\n NAU Latino clubs and Flagstaff organizations will come together to host a celebration on Nov. 4 in honor of the Mexican holiday, Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). The afternoon will consist of sugar skull decorating, a kid\u2019s craft table, free food, pi\u00f1ata bashing, altar displays, face painting and fundraisers. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be from 4-7 p.m. Nov. 4 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church & Cultural Center at 224 S. Kendrick St. in Flagstaff.<\/p>\n Participating NAU clubs and organizations include NAU\u2019s Mariachi Mar y Sol, Kappa Delta Chi sorority, Gamma Alpha Omega sorority, Omega Delta Phi fraternity, Hermanas, United for Change, No More Deaths, Le Fe, M.E.Ch.A. and Art and Cultural Advocacy Association.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
