{"id":48764,"date":"2017-09-20T16:19:31","date_gmt":"2017-09-20T23:19:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/?p=48764"},"modified":"2017-09-20T16:19:31","modified_gmt":"2017-09-20T23:19:31","slug":"phishing-attacks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/phishing-attacks\/","title":{"rendered":"BEWARE: Increase in phishing attacks at NAU, how to avoid them"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The beginning of the semester is often referred to as \u201cphishing season\u201d because of the increased phishing attempts on campus\u2014one of the most common threats to Northern Arizona University\u2019s data.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of a phishing attack is to bait users into giving private information, such as a username and password that the attacker can then use to gain access to other private data including financial information, files on your computer and personal information.
