Based on peer assessment surveys, the rankings consisted of school&#8217;s that have an undergraduate engineering program accredited by ABET, the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.\u00a0Sacramento State, Purdue University, University of Alaska and Trinity College were some of the other institutions that tied NAU for the No. 57 spot.<\/li>\n<li>NAU\u2019s <strong>online doctorate program<\/strong> was ranked\u00a0No. 9 by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nonprofitcollegesonline.com\/best-online-dnp-programs\/\">Nonprofit Colleges Online<\/a>. In this program, students learn how to master the skills needed to provide high quality health care, entirely online.<\/li>\n<li>Funded by NAU&#8217;s Center for International Education and the College of Education,<strong> Barbara Veltri<\/strong>, associate professor in the College of Education, presented at the European Conference for Educational Research in Copenhagen last week. Her paper, titled \u201cI is for Immigration:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fromakidspointofview.com\">Visual Art from a Kids&#8217; Point of View<\/a>\u00a0,\u201d included data and analysis of children&#8217;s artwork from the U.S., Italy and Turkey.<\/li>\n<li>Earlier this summer, NAU English professor <strong>Donelle Ruwe<\/strong> presented \u201cGhetto Chic: The \u2018Authentic\u2019 Street Kid in 1970\u2019s Broadway\u201d in Toronto, Canada. Her paper discussed the 1970 musical \u201cThe Me Nobody Knows.\u201d The musical revue includes classroom writings by underprivileged kids, set to music and then performed by a cast of young actors.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Northern Arizona University<\/strong>\u00a0appeared\u00a0in the 301-400 range in the 2018 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeshighereducation.com\/world-university-rankings\/2018\/subject-ranking\/arts-and-humanities#!\/page\/0\/length\/25\/sort_by\/rank\/sort_order\/asc\/cols\/stats\"><em>Times Higher Education<\/em><\/a> Arts and Humanities subject ranking. This list highlights universities that excel in art, performing arts, languages and philosophy.
