The article is titled \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.publichealthpost.org\/research\/active-transportation-presents-new-opportunities\/#.WRxtBKumUTM.email\">Active Transportation Presents New Opportunities<\/a>\u201d and details why active transportation, such as walking or riding a bike to and from school, is a potential way for children to introduce more physical activity into their lives.<a href=\"http:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/wordpresst\/uploads\/sites\/153\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/food-at-library.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-47671 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/wordpresst\/uploads\/sites\/153\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/food-at-library-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/402\/2017\/05\/food-at-library-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/402\/2017\/05\/food-at-library-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/402\/2017\/05\/food-at-library-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>At the end of the spring semester, <a href=\"https:\/\/library.nau.edu\/\">Cline Library<\/a> hosted \u201cFood for Fines\u201d to benefit Louie\u2019s Cupboard. For every three cans provided to the drive, $25 of late fees was waived. This event brought in close to 700 non-perishable food items for Louie\u2019s Cupboard. \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/first-generation\/louie-s-cupboard\/\">Louie\u2019s Cupboard<\/a>, a student-run organization, aims to provide struggling students and staff with nonperishable food and resources. They hold food distributions on a bi-weekly basis during the semester and have food boxes available during summer upon request. During the 2016-2017 school year, Louie\u2019s Cupboard served more than 250 people. Any student, staff or faculty member that would like to request a food box or support the organization by holding a canned food drive\u00a0can visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/first-generation\/louie-s-cupboard\/\">Louie\u2019s Cupboard website<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/student-spotlight-june-1\/\">Kudos to these\u00a0students Do you have a spotlight item to share with the NAU community?
