Flagstaff commuters are ditching the car keys for bicycle helmets\u00a0May 21-26 to participate\u00a0in this year\u2019s Bike to Work Week, packed with events meant\u00a0to get your wheels spinning.<\/p>\n
A\u00a0schedule of the week\u2019s happenings\u00a0is available online<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0includes daily contests, worksite competitions\u00a0and breakfast stops.<\/p>\n Kicking the week off is Flagstaff\u2019s community-wide Bike Bazaar on May 21 at Heritage Square featuring a bike swap, parade and games.<\/p>\n On May 24, NAU employees and students are invited to Bike to Breakfast and\u00a0join the\u00a0Environmental Caucus\u2019s Transportation Action Team<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0from 6:30 to 9 a.m. on NAU\u2019s campus. A breakfast stop map<\/a> can be found online, featuring all the locations offering coffee, juice, muffins, bagels, donuts and other breakfast treats to fuel your Wednesday commute.<\/p>\n Other events continue throughout the week.<\/p>\n People planning to partake in the annual event are encouraged to\u00a0log their rides online<\/strong><\/a>, where daily raffle prizes will be given out to participants. Ride all five days and enter to win a grand prize.<\/p>\n If your commute takes you to NAU, be sure to tag your bike with a green sticker as the campus-wide abandoned bicycle roundup begins late next week.
