{"id":47232,"date":"2017-04-20T11:19:41","date_gmt":"2017-04-20T18:19:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/?p=47232"},"modified":"2017-04-20T14:36:57","modified_gmt":"2017-04-20T21:36:57","slug":"data-class","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/data-class\/","title":{"rendered":"Institutional research offering data navigation training for NAU employees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Faculty and staff interested in taking the Data Navigation Overview Training (DATA01) from Institutional Research and Analysis have several upcoming opportunities to do so.<\/p>\n<p>The Data Navigation Overview Training will help newer employees find and use the most frequently requested reports and build contacts for questions they can\u2019t answer. The session also is valuable for employees interested in broadening their understanding of data and resources at NAU.<\/p>\n<p>The training focuses on \u201chot topics\u201d \u2013 offices or issues that receive the most questions.\u00a0 An overview of NAU\u2019s new Data Governance Initiative will be provided, and experts from the Budget Office, the Comptroller\u2019s Office, Cline Library, Human Resources and Institutional Research and Analysis will provide key insight.\u00a0This training will not provide in-depth content about each of these areas, but instead will provide a broad overview of available data and resources.\u00a0Time will be provided at the end of the training for questions.<\/p>\n<p>The course is available at the following times:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2-3:30 p.m. April 26 in the College of Health and Human Services Auditorium, Building 66, Room 101<\/li>\n<li>9-10:30 a.m. May 5 in the Cline Library Assembly Hall<\/li>\n<li>9-10:30 a.m. May 23 in the College of Health and Human Services Auditorium, Building 66, Room 101<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Online training will be available soon.\u00a0Please refer to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/data-governance\/\">Data Governance website<\/a>\u00a0for updates.<\/p>\n<p>To register, follow the instructions available on <a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/Human-Resources\/Employee-Resources\/Register-for-Training\/\">HR\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/data-class\/\">Faculty and staff interested in taking the Data Navigation Overview Training (DATA01) from Institutional Research and Analysis have several upcoming opportunities to do so.
