Students, faculty and staff at Northern Arizona University are invited to the fourth annual Three Minute Research Presentation Competition and Graduate Student Government Poster Symposium on March 28. The competition will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the High Country Conference Center just north of the NAU\u00a0campus. The poster symposium will be hosted directly after the competition\u00a0in the same location.<\/p>\n
The Three Minute Research Presentation Competition<\/a> is an opportunity for NAU\u00a0graduate students to rehearse their communication skills by presenting their work. All the\u00a0finalists present their thesis, dissertation, capstone research or creative work to the nonspecialist audience in just three minutes. First-, second- and third-place winners will be chosen as a result of the competition as well as a people’s choice recipient.<\/p>\n The Graduate Student Government Poster Symposium<\/a> is a an opportunity to showcase\u00a0graduate student work. Attendees can see the projects and research done\u00a0by graduate students pertaining to all fields of study. Presenters will be at\u00a0their stations, ready to interact with patrons and explain their work. In order to cap off the symposium, judges will award the first, second, third and most popular presentations on display.<\/p>\n All graduate students, faculty members and interested members of the public are encouraged to attend.
