Northern Arizona University will host Sexual Assault Symposium: Bridging Research to Practice, on March 1 at the International Pavilion.<\/p>\n

Mary Koss, a campus sexual assault researcher and Regent\u2019s Professor from the University of Arizona, will participate in a panel discussion on campus sexual assault from 2:45-3:45 p.m. For the next two<\/p>\n

hours, she and others will host workshops on Intersectional Approaches to Understanding Sexual Violence and Busting Myths and Preventing Violence. Prior to the symposium, NAU students are invited to participate in a meet-and-greet with Koss.<\/p>\n

Koss also is the featured speaker in the Ladhoff Lecture Series from 6-7:30 p.m. March 1 at the pavilion.<\/p>\n

She will speak on the current science that challenges the belief that campus rape primarily involves serial perpetrators.<\/p>\n

The event is free and open to the public, but space is limited. Those interested in attending can register online<\/a>. Anyone with questions can email brianna.barrios@nau.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n
