Spring brings more than 200 events to campus, including live music, theater, opera, art, film and conversation.<\/p>\n<p>Highlights include performances by The Acting Company from New York City, internationally acclaimed musicians with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/cal\/music\/events\/horizons-concert-series\/\"><strong>Horizons Concert Series<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and comedians Lewis Black and Brian Regan.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Jan. 27, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/martin-springer\/\"><strong>Martin-Springer Institute<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0presents \u201cWar, Torture &amp; Consequence\u201d\u2014a conversation with Eric Fair about his experience as an interrogator in Iraq.<\/p>\n<p>NAU-produced shows include\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/cal\/music\/lyric-theater\/performances\/\"><strong>Lyric Theatre\u2019s<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<em>Dido and Aeneas<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/cal\/music\/events\/\"><strong>live music performances<\/strong><\/a>, original student and faculty art exhibits and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/cal\/theatre\/\"><strong>theater productions<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0<em>Silent Sky,\u00a0<\/em>a play about a female astronomer, and\u00a0<em>Peter and the Starcatcher<\/em>, an award-winning music-infused prequel to\u00a0<em>Peter Pan<\/em>.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/cal\/art-museum\/\"><strong>The NAU Art Museum<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 will feature a variety of original work, including guest artists Tracy Stuckey and Kathyrn Martin.<\/p>\n<p>Other happenings\u00a0include the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/cal\/events\/cal-film-series\/\"><strong>Tuesday Night Film Series<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0which will showcase\u00a0the British Film Institute\u2019s Greatest Films, and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/cal\/events\/international-film-series\/\"><strong>International Film Series<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0which will feature\u00a0international musicals.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/ppi\/\"><strong>Philosophy in the Public Interest<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0will continue to host forum discussions that engage the community with hot topics and provide the opportunity to follow one of the community language tables.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/CAL\/EVENTS\/CALEvents\/\"><strong>A full calendar of events and more information about the College of Arts and Letter can be found online<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Community members planning to attend events this Spring can register at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/Parking-Shuttle-Services\/Guest-Parking\/\"><strong>NAU Parking<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0as a northern Arizona community member for complimentary parking passes.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets for any of the following shows can be purchased at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/csa-sites\/ticketing-and-activities-sites\/central-ticket-office\/central-ticket-office-cont%C9\"><strong>Central Ticket Office<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0in the University Union on the Flagstaff campus, or by calling (928) 523-5661.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/spring-events-blossom-nau-college-arts-letters\/\">NAU\u2019s College of Arts and Letters\u00a0is in for a busy semester.
