In addition to these highlights,\u00a0<em>NAU\u00a0News<\/em>\u00a0would like to introduce \u201cStudent Spotlights\u201d<strong>\u2014<\/strong>a look at the accomplishments and achievements of our students.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWorking in higher education, we have the privilege of helping\u00a0students achieve\u00a0their goals and create possibilities,\u201d <b>President Rita Cheng\u00a0<\/b>said. \u201cI\u2019m looking forward to recognizing\u00a0some of the outstanding work of our students in this new spotlight.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Continuing to acknowledge faculty and staff on a per-issue basis,\u00a0<em>NAU News<\/em>\u00a0also will include Student Spotlights as they\u2019re submitted. In the interview, Moore speaks to her growth and learning at NAU, and her plans to make the world a better place\u2014one child at a time. <a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/SBS\/SSW\/Child-Welfare-Training-Project\/CWTP-Blog\/CWTP-Blog-Feature\/Gradi-Lea-Moore-Profile\/\">The full interview can be viewed online<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Along with a number of student athletes,\u00a0<strong>Corbin Jountti<\/strong>\u00a0was recognized during the Sugar Bowl halftime for his \u201cgood work\u201d throughout his college education. Jountti, a football player who graduated in December with a degree in psychological science, was one of 17 graduating NAU athletes who collectively volunteered more than 680 hours of community service.
