{"id":45614,"date":"2016-11-03T09:31:20","date_gmt":"2016-11-03T16:31:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stage.headlessnauedu-b6hgdzckfdgxgzhe.westus-01.azurewebsites.net\/?p=45614"},"modified":"2016-11-03T12:48:00","modified_gmt":"2016-11-03T19:48:00","slug":"nau-lyric-theater-produces-loved-classics-premieres-opera","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/nau-lyric-theater-produces-loved-classics-premieres-opera\/","title":{"rendered":"NAU Lyric Theater produces loved classics, premieres opera"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Comedy and love inspire an evening of fun and enchantment during the <a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/CAL\/Music\/Lyric-Theater\/Welcome\/\">Northern Arizona University Lyric Theater<\/a> season opener November 3 through 5 at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nau.edu\/cal\/ardrey\/\">NAU Ardrey Memorial Auditorium<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>NAU Lyric Theater presents three one-act comic operas in its season opener titled <em>For the Love of Three Operas. <\/em>Directed by Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/cal\/music\/faculty\/gibson\/\"><strong>Eric Gibson<\/strong><\/a>, each performance features\u00a0two classic short operas and a premiere by NAU music professor, <a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/cal\/music\/faculty\/cloud\/\"><strong>Judith Cloud<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>More than 75 NAU students are involved onstage, backstage and in the orchestra in creating <em>For the Love of Three Operas<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3 and Friday. Nov. 4, and at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday Nov. 5 in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nau.edu\/cal\/ardrey\/\">NAU\u2019s Ardrey Memorial Auditorium<\/a>. Tickets are $22 for adults, $18 for seniors, $10 for NAU employees and $6 for NAU Students and children. Group discounts are available.<\/p>\n<p>Free parking is available in Lot P13, adjacent to the Performing and Fine Arts Building and Cline Library for weekend performances.
