Northern Arizona University is celebrating <a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/uploadedFiles\/Partnerships_and_Organizations\/Folder_Templates\/_Forms\/NAHM%202016%208.5X14.pdf\">Native American Heritage Month<\/a> with various activities planned to commemorate\u00a0the traditions and culture of indigenous people.<\/p>\n<p>Several events, which highlight accomplishments, contributions, and talents, are open to the public, including:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Native American Visit Day<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>8 a.m.\u20133:30p.m. Friday, Nov. 4<br \/>\n<\/em>High Country Conference Center<br \/>\nNative American high school students and parents visit the NAU campus to learn how NAU honors cultures through academic and personal development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6<sup>th<\/sup> Annual Indigenous Music Bash<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>4\u20139 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5<br \/>\n<\/em>Du Bois Ballroom (Bldg. 64)<br \/>\nJoin in on the fun as Connecting Higher Education Indigenously (CHEI) hosts different Indigenous dancers, singers and talents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday Night\u00a0Film Screenings<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 14, 21<br \/>\n<\/em>Cline Library Assembly Hall (Bldg. 28)<br \/>\nKicking off the Monday night film series is\u00a0\u201cWarrior Return\u201d and \u201cJim Thorpe: The World\u2019s Greatest Athlete\u201d on Nov. 7, followed by\u00a0&#8220;The Seventh Fire&#8221; on Nov. 14, and\u00a0&#8220;The Sixth World&#8221; and &#8220;Metal Road&#8221; on Nov. 21.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Celebrating Foods of Native Americans<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>11 a.m.\u20132 p.m.<\/em> <em>Wednesday, Nov. 9<br \/>\n<\/em>Hot Spot, University Union (Bldg. 30)<br \/>\nEnjoy traditional Native American food for lunch at the University Union.
