Thanks to some tremendous efforts by the Benefits Committee, NAU was\u00a0able to cut that number by more than half.\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">NAU&#8217;s Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance plan will increase by a total of six percent next year and will include some plan changes relating to deductibles and copays in order to control costs.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">This remains lower than industry trends of seven to eight percent increases per year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">NAU is dedicating resources to cover a majority of the premium increase cost,\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">however, employees will still experience a slight\u00a0increase in premiums. <\/span>More information about the new premium amounts and plan design changes is\u00a0available on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nau.edu\/Human-Resources\/Benefits\/Open-Enrollment\/\">Human Resources\u00a0website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Employees who participated in NAU\u2019s BCBSAZ Wellness Incentive plan are eligible to earn points for rewards and receive up to a $10 credit each pay period for completing the BluePrint Health Assessment.<\/p>\n<p>The current benefits plan will be in place through Dec. 31, as the new plan goes into effect on Jan. 1.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/hr-shares-changes-employee-benefit-plans-open-enrollment-details\/\">Employees who wish to make changes to their current benefits plan can do so during open enrollment Oct. 24-Nov. 14.
