The program can be completed in one year.<\/p>\n<p>Students in the program will learn business with a perspective on borders and within the context of broad global business principles. NAU-Yuma\u2019s location near the U.S. border with Mexico offers unique opportunities to learn about business.<\/p>\n<p>Employers cite the need for employees educated in global business theory and principles, ideas weaved through the curriculum in this new master\u2019s degree.<\/p>\n<p>Faculty members have extensive international professional experience, said <strong>Alex Steenstra<\/strong>, chair of the Department of Business and Administration at NAU-Yuma.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the solid foundation of\u00a0traditional MBA classes and the additional course work in cross-cultural negotiation and communication, leading diverse cultures, and cross-cultural teams, the MGBA prepares students to succeed and excel in a border, transnational, and\u00a0global work environment,\u201d Steenstra\u00a0said.<\/p>\n<p>A requirement for the Master of Global Business Administration will be a capstone project, including a professional product or a deliverable that demonstrates critical thinking and an applied approach to global business.<\/p>\n<p>Information is available <a href=\"http:\/\/alex.steenstra@nau.edu\">by emailing Alex Steenstra<\/a> at NAU-Yuma.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/new-masters-program-focused-business-global-border-issues\/\">This fall, Northern Arizona University will begin offering a Master of Global Business Administration degree at the NAU-Yuma branch campus.
