Camp dates have been set for a variety of youth\u00a0and sports\u00a0camps offered by Northern Arizona University to keep the community\u00a0active and learning this summer.<\/p>\n

Mountain Jacks Kids Camp<\/strong><\/a> Explorer’s Camp\u00a0<\/strong><\/a> Summer Sports Leagues<\/strong><\/a> Centennial Forest Environmental Education Camp Curry Summer Music Camp<\/strong><\/a> Athletics Summer Camps and Clinics<\/strong><\/a> Summer Bug Camp
\nChildren in kindergarten through fifth grade can enjoy morning activities of sports, field games and experiential education sessions, while the afternoon portion of the camp is aquatic-based. Camp hours are Monday through Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Half-day options also are available. Pre-camp is available\u00a0Tuesday, May 31 through\u00a0Friday, June 3.\u00a0Register online<\/a>.<\/p>\n
\nChildren\u00a0in\u00a0sixth through eighth\u00a0grades will enjoy an activity-based and adventure education camp. Explorers venture around NAU\u2019s campus, Flagstaff and surrounding areas. Camp is held Monday through Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Half-day options also are available.\u00a0Pre-camp is available\u00a0Tuesday, May 31 through\u00a0Friday, June 3. \nNAU affiliates and\u00a0community members ages 18 and up are invited to\u00a0join summer sports\u00a0leagues for basketball and indoor soccer. The cost is\u00a0$15 per player for NAU students, faculty and staff\u00a0and $20 per player for non-NAU affiliates. \n<\/a><\/strong>Five youth programs, for ages 9 to 16, connect youth to the outdoors through hands-on education, teamwork activities and leadership skills. The programs also provide a glimpse of forest science and wildlife research. Register online<\/a>.<\/p>\n
\nEstablished in 1950, the Curry Summer Music Camp offers junior high and high school students the opportunity for musical immersion and social interaction with one another. Register online.<\/a><\/p>\n
\nGeared toward young athletes, programs exist for those looking to elevate their game in a variety of sports, including basketball, soccer, football and volleyball. Register online<\/a>.<\/p>\n
\n<\/a><\/span><\/strong>Each week-long summer camp is designed for children ages 6 to 12. Campers learn about insect natural history and biodiversity through a series of projects and activities. The first camp will take place Monday, June 20, through Friday, June 24, and the second camp will take place Monday, July 18, through Friday, July 22.
