{"id":4243,"date":"2012-11-02T13:02:26","date_gmt":"2012-11-02T20:02:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stage.headlessnauedu-b6hgdzckfdgxgzhe.westus-01.azurewebsites.net\/?p=4243"},"modified":"2012-11-02T13:48:57","modified_gmt":"2012-11-02T20:48:57","slug":"bookstore-hosting-renowned-artist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/bookstore-hosting-renowned-artist\/","title":{"rendered":"Bookstore hosting renowned artist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The NAU Bookstore will host a chat and book signing with renowned artist <strong>Bruce Aiken<\/strong> from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8, in the bookstore\u2019s fireplace lounge.<\/p>\n<p>Aiken will discuss his life as an artist and sign copies of his book, <em>Bruce Aiken\u2019s Grand Canyon \u2013 An Intimate Affair<\/em>, \u00a0a retrospective of his works displayed in the Museum of Northern Arizona.<\/p>\n<p>Aiken <a href=\"http:\/\/stage.headlessnauedu-b6hgdzckfdgxgzhe.westus-01.azurewebsites.net\/nau-to-mark-spring-commencement-with-ceremonies-in-flagstaff-yuma\/\">received an honorary doctorate of humane letters<\/a> from NAU in May and recently was named the university\u2019s Honors Artist in Residence, under which he will teach master painting in the spring.
