Northern Arizona University is inviting faculty and staff to participate in\u00a0a leadership development program that brings together partners from all over campus to help prepare the next generation of higher education leaders.<\/p>\n
Faculty and staff at every level are encouraged to apply<\/a> or nominate a coworker for the\u00a0University Leadership Program.<\/a><\/p>\n The next cohort begins in the fall and those selected will represent a wide variety of populations on campus.\u00a0The fifth class\u00a0of participants will graduate on\u00a0May 6.<\/p>\n Participants explore leadership skills, discuss\u00a0challenges facing the university and higher education across the nation and gain an understanding of how the Arizona university system functions. Other topics will include strategic planning and budgeting and how both serve to advance the overall mission of NAU.<\/p>\n The program is aimed at identifying, informing and investing in future university leaders and building networks of colleagues. It kicks off with a two-day retreat in Sedona in September, followed by daylong sessions held on campus on one Friday each month through April.
