The partnership would enable NAU students to attend UNAM &#8216;s Mexico City and Quer\u00e9taro campuses for science research and Spanish language study. In exchange, NAU would host UNAM undergraduate and graduate students.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Zachary Smith<\/strong>, Regents&#8217; professor of politics and international affairs, recently presented a paper titled &#8220;Evaluating Competencies and Institutional Capacities in Non-Governmental Organizations&#8221; at the Conference of the International Institute of Social and Economic Sciences in Florence, Italy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Alexandra A. Carpino, <\/strong>professor of art history and chair of the Department of Comparative Cultural Studies, is the co-editor of <em>A Companion to the Etruscans\u00a0<\/em>released this month. Carpino also wrote the book\u2019s introduction and has a chapter in the volume titled &#8220;The &#8216;Taste&#8217; for Violence in Etruscan Art: Debunking the Myth.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nicole Walker,<\/strong> professor of creative writing, will have three collections of essays published in the coming\u00a0year. <em>Micrograms<\/em> will be released March 20, followed by <em>Canning Peaches for the Apocalypse<\/em> in the fall and <em>Egg<\/em> in March 2017.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/in-the-spotlight-feb-19-2016\/\">Kudos to these faculty, staff and students Do you have a spotlight item to share with the NAU community?
