{"id":41874,"date":"2016-02-18T10:02:59","date_gmt":"2016-02-18T17:02:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stage.headlessnauedu-b6hgdzckfdgxgzhe.westus-01.azurewebsites.net\/?p=41874"},"modified":"2016-02-19T13:26:34","modified_gmt":"2016-02-19T20:26:34","slug":"students-to-perform-with-top-artists-at-nau-jazz-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/students-to-perform-with-top-artists-at-nau-jazz-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Hundreds of students to perform with top artists at NAU Jazz Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Middle school, high school and college students will slide into jazz musician roles during the 54th <a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/cal\/music\/jazz-studies\/jazz-festival\/\">Northern Arizona University Jazz Festival<\/a><strong>, <\/strong>February 25\u201327.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHundreds of students travel here from Arizona and beyond to participate and perform in this outstanding musical event,\u201d said\u00a0NAU assistant professor of practice <strong>Chris Finet<\/strong>, who specializes in String Bass and Jazz Studies. \u201cThey will work with world-class adjudicators, great clinicians, interact with NAU faculty, observe peers\u2019 performances and become inspired by our fabulous guest artists.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The public can get inspired, too.<\/p>\n<p>More than 60 student band performances, faculty clinics, and master classes are open to the public.
