With the political campaign season under way, members of the campus community are encouraged to review NAU\u2019s policies for political activities and support of candidates.<\/p>\n
As a university faculty or staff member you can lawfully campaign for or against candidates and initiatives on your own time, and without using state resources including NAU email; you must act individually, and not suggest you represent the position of NAU.<\/p>\n
University lobbying activities are limited to individuals appointed by the president and registered with the state.<\/p>\n
Employees\u00a0who plan to campaign for public office or are elected to public office must\u00a0request\u00a0personal leave if\u00a0campaign\u00a0activities or the public service role interferes with performing assigned NAU duties and responsibilities.<\/p>\n
