Kolb is the lead author of a chapter about forest insect and fungal pathogen responses to drought, and Waring contributed to a chapter about impacts of drought on forest dynamics, structure, diversity and management. The report will help the Forest Service and other forest landowners better manage forests and grasslands impacted by climate change. The time-lapse shows radio telescope dishes collecting radio energy from distant objects in the sky. The video was shot as part of the Skyglow project, a photo book and time-lapse video series focused on the night sky. Watch the time-lapse\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/147382113\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fred Solop<\/strong>, professor of Politics and International Affairs, and doctoral candidate <strong>Emily Schnurr<\/strong>, recently presented a co-authored paper titled &#8220;Hands Up, Don&#8217;t Shoot: Innovative Tactics Used By #BlackLivesMatter&#8221; at the\u00a02016\u00a0Southern Political Science Association conference. Schnurr also presented a paper titled &#8220;Campaign Finance and the Top Two Primary in Washington&#8221; while Solop presented &#8220;Social Movements and Electoral Activity: A Tale of Two Mobilizations.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><b>Tobias Kreidl<\/b>, academic computing team lead in Information Technology Services, was one of six awardees honored with the highly competitive\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.citrix.com\/blogs\/2016\/02\/04\/welcome-ctp-class-of-2016\/\">Citrix Technology Professional Program award<\/a>. Members <strong>Emma Schraner<\/strong> and <strong>McKenzie McLoughlin<\/strong> received the Book Award, equivalent to a Distinguished Delegation. NAU earned the number 15 spot for its programs including Newman Nights, which feature mass followed by dinner and a speaker, and the Lumberjack Awakening Retreat, a time of reflection, spirituality, and relationship building for students.<\/li>\n<li><em>Great Value Colleges<\/em>\u00a0ranked NAU among the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greatvaluecolleges.net\/35-great-value-colleges-with-beautiful-campuses\/\">35 Great Value Colleges with Beautiful Campuses<\/a> for its mix of historic, modern and green buildings and ponderosa pine trees that surround campus.
