Inclusion and Multicultural Services, Black Student Union and Ethnic Studies will host several performances and lectures throughout February to celebrate Black\u00a0History Month.<\/p>\n
The lineup of events kicks off with Washington, D.C.-based group Step Afrika!<\/a> <\/strong>at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, in Prochnow Auditorium. Step Afrika! will perform the art of stepping\u2014a stylistic dance of intricate kicks, stomps and rhythms mixed with the spoken word. Tickets are required for entry and are available from the Central Ticket Office<\/a>.<\/p>\n Arizona attorney Booker T. Evans Jr. will present “The Myth of Post-Racial America”<\/a>\u00a0at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, in Ashurst Auditorium during the inaugural lecture of the Ted Johnson Lecture Series. The new lecture series is a tribute to former professor Ted Johnson, who taught composition, literature and minority literature for 30\u00a0years at NAU.
