All\u00a0proceeds benefit the NAU Centennial Forest Environmental Education Scholarship Fund.<\/p>\n<p>The ornaments will be available for purchase at the annual <a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/United-Way\/Craft-Fair\/\"><strong>Mountain Campus Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair<\/strong><\/a> from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, and Sunday, Nov. 22, at the du Bois Center.<\/p>\n<p>Pre-made ornaments or customized orders also may be purchased through the program\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.for.nau.edu\/CentennialForest\/content\/view\/585\/824\/\"><strong>website<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0or by calling (928) 523-6727.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cheryl Miller<\/strong>, director of the Centennial Forest Junior Forester Camp, said funds from ornament sales have provided an outdoors experience and conservation training to more than 500 young people ages 9 to 16 in the last eight years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur goal with the camp is to nurture the love of nature in children so they see themselves as our next generation of environmental stewards,\u201d Miller said. \u201cBecause of the ornament sales, we\u2019ve never turned a child away from camp on the basis of financial need, and we hope to continue to provide those opportunities for children in our community.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/deck-the-tree-with-handcrafted-ornaments\/\">Adorn your tree with handmade ornaments from Northern Arizona University\u2019s Centennial Forest\u00a0this holiday season.
