Students who are unable to get to campus must contact their instructors. Employees who are unable to get to campus must contact their supervisors or follow normal departmental procedures to provide notification of an absence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">During inclement weather, the university may remain open for normal business, schedule a delayed start, cancel classes or cancel operations except for essential services on the Flagstaff campus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The<\/span><span class=\"s2\"> announcement <\/span><span class=\"s1\">generally is made before 6 a.m., with the determination to cancel evening classes made between 3 and 4 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The university will send out an\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/naualert\/home\/\"><span class=\"s3\"><b>NAU Alert<\/b><\/span><\/a>\u00a0text message and email in the event that classes or university operations are on a delayed start or canceled.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Students, faculty and staff also are notified of changes to operations through\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/NAUFlagstaff\"><span class=\"s3\"><b>Facebook<\/b><\/span><\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NAU\"><span class=\"s3\"><b>Twitter<\/b><\/span><\/a>, the NAU\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/\"><span class=\"s3\"><b>home page<\/b><\/span><\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/my.nau.edu\/\"><span class=\"s3\"><b>MyNAU<\/b><\/span><\/a>, local media and the NAU Now Line.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">NAU\u2019s snow closure policy for employees is available\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/hr.nau.edu\/ext\/node\/10313\"><span class=\"s3\"><b>online<\/b><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/nau-on-regular-schedule-nov-17\/\">Northern Arizona University will conduct normal operations today and campus is open.
