November brings more than just the first snow to campus. Northern Arizona University is celebrating Native American Heritage Month with various activities planned to commemorate\u00a0the traditions and culture of indigenous people.<\/p>\n
Several events, which highlight accomplishments, contributions and talents, are open to the public, including:<\/p>\n

\nCelebrate Native American culture by wearing moccasins or traditional footwear every Monday in November to honor ancestors and indigenous people worldwide.<\/p>\n

\nEnjoy performances by indigenous dancers, singers and talents including the NAU HAPA Club, Arizona Bird Nation, Aztec Dancers, Byron Nicholai and The Davis Brothers. Navajo tacos will be sold at the Native American Cultural Center<\/a> during the event.<\/p>\n
