His talk, \u201cClimate Whiplash: What Happens after Global Warming,\u201d draws on geological history to answer the question: What will the world look like in the distant future? He argues that the greatest threat may not be global warming but global cooling.<\/p>\n<p>Stager is a science journalist whose research focuses on the climatic and environmental histories of Africa, Peru and the Adirondack region.
