Camden, <\/strong>associate professor of photojournalism<strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>has contributed to\u00a0a UNESCO book titled\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/unesdoc.unesco.org\/images\/0023\/002338\/233878e.pdf\"><em>Teaching Journalism for Sustainable Development: New Syllabi<\/em><\/a>. The book, a collection of eight syllabi, clarifies how the social, political and environmental dimensions of sustainable development can be appropriated within the overall design of journalism curricula. Camden helped create the international collaborations curriculum while on\u00a0teaching\u00a0exchange\u00a0at the University of Wollongong in Australia.\u00a0The publication is a project of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unesco.org\/new\/en\/communication-and-information\/intergovernmental-programmes\/ipdc\/initiatives\/global-initiative-for-excellence-in-journalism-education\/\">IPDC\u2019s Global Initiative for Excellence in Journalism Education<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/stage.headlessnauedu-b6hgdzckfdgxgzhe.westus-01.azurewebsites.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Mayas-Blanket-Monica-Brown.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-39073\" src=\"http:\/\/stage.headlessnauedu-b6hgdzckfdgxgzhe.westus-01.azurewebsites.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Mayas-Blanket-Monica-Brown-300x174.jpg\" alt=\"Monica Brown book\" width=\"300\" height=\"174\" srcset=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/402\/2015\/09\/Mayas-Blanket-Monica-Brown-300x174.jpg 300w, https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/402\/2015\/09\/Mayas-Blanket-Monica-Brown.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>English professor <strong>Monica Brown<\/strong>\u2019s newest book, <em>Maya\u2019s Blanket: La Manta de Maya<\/em>, will be featured in The New York Times Sunday Book Review on Sept. 27. Inspired by the traditional Yiddish folk song \u201cHob Ikh Mir a Mantl\u201d (\u201cI Had a Little Coat\u201d), Brown\u2019s children\u2019s story puts a child-focused, Latino\u00a0spin on the tale of an item that is made into smaller and smaller items.\u00a0The book review can be read <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2015\/09\/22\/books\/review\/23childrens.html?ref=books&amp;_r=0\">online<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mohamed A. Mohamed<\/strong>, assistant professor of sociology, will participate in <a href=\"https:\/\/upasconference.wordpress.com\/#slide-3\">The Unfinished Project of the Arab Spring<\/a>\u00a0conference Sept. 25-27 at the University of Alberta, Edmonton campus. Mohamed will give a presentation entitled \u201cThe Future of Egypt&#8217;s Military Coup.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Northern Arizona University has been ranked among the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greatvaluecolleges.net\/affordable\/online-psychology-degree-programs\/\">top 30 most affordable online psychology degree programs<\/a> by Great Value Colleges.
