Northern Arizona University recently presented diplomas to\u00a0the 2015 class\u00a0of 33 Chinese students from the Sino-American 1+2+1 Program and nearly 20 partner universities in provinces across China.<\/p>\n
Students graduated with degrees in a wide range of disciplines including business administration, mechanical engineering, hospitality, physics, visual communications and English.<\/p>\n
Liz Grobsmith<\/strong>, senior adviser to the president, and\u00a0Harvey Charles<\/strong>, vice provost for International Education, traveled to\u00a0Xiamen, China, to host a special alumni reception inviting parents, alumni and colleagues from across China to recognize the dual degree graduates and their accomplishments.<\/p>\n Grobsmith and Wang Feng<\/strong>, assistant director in NAU\u2019s Office of Asian Academic Engagement, also visited Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications to meet with the first cohort of students enrolled in the electrical engineering dual degree program<\/a>.<\/p>\n Grobsmith then participated in an official handover ceremony at the Guangdong University of Finance and Economics, which marked a special occasion for the first cohort of students participating in the GUFE\/NAU experimental class. They will begin studying business management at NAU’s W.A. Franke College of Business in August.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
