The senate operates under policies set by the Arizona Board of Regents.<\/p>\n<p>Incoming Faculty Senate leadership outlined some priorities for the upcoming year including budget discussions, faculty evaluations and improving communication of issues among all faculty members. \u201cWe also want to make sure non-tenure track colleagues are treated with professionalism and are made to feel part of the life of the university,\u201d Fox said.<\/p>\n<p>Other officers include Past President\u00a0<strong>Astrid Klocke<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Susan Harris<\/strong> as secretary, <strong>Eric Yordy<\/strong> as parliamentarian, <strong>Dan Eadens <\/strong>and<strong> Pam Foti <\/strong>as senators-at-large and <strong>Michael Rulon<\/strong> as chairman of the council on learning.<\/p>\n<p>The Faculty Senate meeting calendar and policies are <a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/Faculty-Senate\/\">online<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/faculty-senate-announces-new-officers\/\">Faculty Senate officers have been elected for the 2015-16 academic year, with Bruce Fox serving as president and Kate Ellis as vice president and chair of the planning and budget council.
