{"id":37445,"date":"2015-06-22T11:09:36","date_gmt":"2015-06-22T18:09:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stage.headlessnauedu-b6hgdzckfdgxgzhe.westus-01.azurewebsites.net\/?p=37445"},"modified":"2015-07-01T14:37:37","modified_gmt":"2015-07-01T21:37:37","slug":"parade-your-lumberjack-spirit-during-independence-day-parade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/parade-your-lumberjack-spirit-during-independence-day-parade\/","title":{"rendered":"Parade your Lumberjack spirit during Independence Day Parade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Lumberjack community is invited to celebrate the holiday and come show support for NAU during the<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flagstaffchamber.com\/\"><b><span style=\"color: #003e7e; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;\">Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u2019s annual Independence Day Parade in downtown Flagstaff at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 4.\u00a0The university will be closed Friday, July 3<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.usa.gov\/Topics\/Independence-Day.shtml\"><b>in observance of the holiday<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>More than 100 floats, including several entries from NAU, will line the parade route that begins on Beaver Street and Elm Avenue and ends at San Francisco Street and Elm Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>Be a part of the NAU entry and walk with colleagues, students and alumni and represent the university in red, white and True Blue fashion. NAU employees can earn HealthyU points for walking in the parade by registering with <a href=\"mailto:ask-eaw@nau.edu\">ask-eaw@nau.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Participants will meet at 8 a.m. at the staging area and can contact <a href=\"mailto:Alyssa.Deaver@nau.edu\">Alyssa Deaver<\/a> for details.
