For me, biking is a great opportunity to spend quality time outdoors with my wife and two young kids.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Biking is a passion of mine, which is why I have been a member of the Flagstaff Biking Organization\u2019s board since 2008. We<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0keep the annual <a href=\"http:\/\/stage.headlessnauedu-b6hgdzckfdgxgzhe.westus-01.azurewebsites.net\/pedal-on-for-bike-to-work-week\/\">Bike to Work Week<\/a> alive in Flagstaff, which kickstarts Sunday, May 17, in celebration of National Bike Month. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As volunteers, board members are\u00a0involved throughout the community. You\u2019ll see us at the Fort Tuthill skills park and engaging in general commuter advocacy for safe routes and roads for bicyclists in the city. One of my favorite things to do is bike rodeos at Flagstaff elementary schools where we set up courses, bring helmets and educators who teach kids how to ride safely.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">This year<\/span><span class=\"s3\">\u2019s Bike to Work Week includes<\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0activities for cyclists of all skill levels to be a part of commuter bicycling. The biggest show of support that you can make is to start (or re-start) your personal biking season and enjoy the simple beauty and efficiency of commuter bicycling.\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s4\">Many participants who are inspired to start with a short trip to work become commuters on a regular basis and are able to enjoy the incredible health and wellness benefits that cycling has to offer. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Bicycling is a fun and efficient way to make your way around our wonderful city and to take advantage of more than 50 miles of our urban trail system or branch out onto some of the 42 miles of the loop trail system.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It\u2019s going to be an incredible week, so please check out the <a href=\"http:\/\/flagstaffbiking.org\/commute\/bike-to-work-week\/schedule\/\">full schedule<\/a>.
