{"id":36252,"date":"2015-04-15T09:44:44","date_gmt":"2015-04-15T16:44:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stage.headlessnauedu-b6hgdzckfdgxgzhe.westus-01.azurewebsites.net\/?p=36252"},"modified":"2015-04-15T09:44:44","modified_gmt":"2015-04-15T16:44:44","slug":"nominate-outstanding-alumni-for-award-recognition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/nominate-outstanding-alumni-for-award-recognition\/","title":{"rendered":"Nominate outstanding alumni for award recognition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nominations are being accepted for the annual NAU Alumni Association awards, recognizing distinguished alumni who have demonstrated excellence in their careers and communities.<\/p>\n<p>Five different awards will recognize various areas of personal and professional commitment and success.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dwight Patterson Alumnus\/Alumni of the Year<br \/>\n<\/strong>Recognizes alumni who have achieved outstanding success in their professional careers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cliff Harkins Distinguished Citizen of the Year<br \/>\n<\/strong>Recognizes alumni who have given their distinguished service to nonprofit organizations or government agencies or who have demonstrated other outstanding service as a citizen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jeff Ferris Volunteer of the Year<br \/>\n<\/strong>Presented to alumni who demonstrate sustained interest and loyalty to the NAU Alumni Association and Northern Arizona University.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Joe and Marie Rolle Spirit of NAU<br \/>\n<\/strong>Honors alumni who consistently and prominently demonstrate longtime support for the university.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Excellence in Achievement by a Recent Graduate<br \/>\n<\/strong>Recognizes alumni who have graduated within the past 10 years who have achieved recognition in their field, brought recognition to NAU, or whose efforts benefit their industry or their communities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/alumni\/awards\/\"><strong>Nominations<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0are due May 29, and winners will be recognized during NAU\u2019s Homecoming, Saturday, Oct. 24.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/nominate-outstanding-alumni-for-award-recognition\/\">Nominations are being accepted for the annual NAU Alumni Association awards, recognizing distinguished alumni who have demonstrated excellence in their careers and communities.
