Participants selected for the <a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/GradCol\/Student-Resources\/Events-Workshops\/3-Minute-Research-Project\/\">3-Minute Research Presentation<\/a> must distill months\u2019 and years\u2019 worth of research into palatable presentations suitable for a general audience.<\/p>\n<p>The final competition of the 3MRP takes place on Monday, April 6, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in Ashurst Auditorium.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 3MRP competition is designed to develop and celebrate the ability to communicate the significance of research or creative activity to people outside of the discipline,&#8221; said Maribeth Watwood, dean of the Graduate College. \u201cWe are so proud of all of this year\u2019s participants, and it should be enjoyable and informative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The NAU community is encouraged to attend this free event to support graduates students and discover more about current research opportunities on campus.<\/p>\n<p>RSVPs are requested to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:3MRP@nau.edu\">3MRP@nau.edu<\/a> or by calling (928) 523-4338.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/grad-students-high-speed-research-presentations-return\/\">Graduate students are being\u00a0challenged to explain their thesis, dissertation, capstone research or creative work in a three-minute time span.
