{"id":35336,"date":"2015-03-12T11:43:43","date_gmt":"2015-03-12T18:43:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stage.headlessnauedu-b6hgdzckfdgxgzhe.westus-01.azurewebsites.net\/?p=35336"},"modified":"2015-03-12T11:43:43","modified_gmt":"2015-03-12T18:43:43","slug":"graduate-programs-earn-recognition-in-u-s-news-rankings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/graduate-programs-earn-recognition-in-u-s-news-rankings\/","title":{"rendered":"Graduate programs earn recognition in &#8216;U.S. News&#8217; rankings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The physical therapy program at Northern Arizona University was among five graduate programs at NAU named in the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.usnews.com\/education\/best-graduate-schools\/articles\/2013\/03\/12\/us-news-releases-2014-best-graduate-schools-rankings\">U.S. News\u00a02016 Best Graduate Schools Rankings<\/a>, released this week.<\/p>\n<p>Physical therapy <a href=\"http:\/\/grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com\/best-graduate-schools\/top-health-schools\/physical-therapy-rankings\">ranked 34th<\/a> in the nation on the publication\u2019s annual list that evaluates programs in business, law, medicine, engineering and education\u2014including specialties within each discipline.<\/p>\n<p>Other health sciences programs that made the list were NAU\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com\/best-graduate-schools\/top-health-schools\/pathology-rankings\">speech-language pathology program<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com\/best-graduate-schools\/top-nursing-schools\/nur-rankings\">School of Nursing<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In other disciplines, NAU\u2019s graduate\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com\/best-graduate-schools\/top-education-schools\/edu-rankings\">education programs<\/a> ranked 115th\u00a0and the graduate program in <a href=\"http:\/\/grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com\/best-graduate-schools\/top-science-schools\/biological-sciences-rankings\">biological sciences<\/a> ranked 139th\u00a0in the nation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8220;We are constantly looking for ways to\u00a0enhance graduate programming at NAU, and it is heartening to see those efforts recognized nationally,\u201d said\u00a0<b>Maribeth Watwood<\/b>, dean of the Graduate College. \u201cTogether with first-hand observations from current students and program graduates, these rankings point out some of the areas where we clearly stand out. \u00a0Our dedicated faculty and staff provide focused mentorship and support to help our graduate students achieve their personal and professional goals.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The complete list of 2016 graduate school rankings is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usnews.com\/education\/best-graduate-schools\/articles\/us-news-ranks-best-graduate-schools\">online<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a class=\"search-results-excerpt-link\" href=\"https:\/\/in.nau.edu\/news\/graduate-programs-earn-recognition-in-u-s-news-rankings\/\">The physical therapy program at Northern Arizona University was among five graduate programs at NAU named in the\u00a0U.S. News\u00a02016 Best Graduate Schools Rankings, released this week.
