\"BestForVetsBusiness2015\"Northern Arizona University\u2019s\u00a0W.A. Franke College of Business<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0has once again been named one of the nation\u2019s top business schools for veterans by Military Times<\/em>\u00a0in its \u201cBest for Vets: Business Schools 2015\u201d rankings.<\/p>\n

The college, home to its own Veteran Student\u00a0Center<\/a>, ranked No. 4 overall among business schools and is the top business school for military veterans in Arizona.<\/p>\n

“Having a veteran student center strategically placed in the business college is what makes us stand out among other institutions,” said Laurie Jordon<\/b>, coordinator\u00a0for the Veteran Student Center\u00a0in the W.A. Franke College of Business. “We have the ability to provide individual support to veterans seeking degrees in business or hotel and restaurant management from academics to career development.”<\/p>\n

The center was created through\u00a0a donation from a former veteran student in the college and\u00a0is the first veteran success center in the nation dedicated to a business school.<\/p>\n

“For the second year in a row, the W.A. Franke College of Business has earned this prestigious designation because of the dedication of leadership to create a welcoming, supportive university community,” said Andrew Griffin<\/strong>, director for\u00a0NAU\u2019s Office of Military and Veteran Affairs. “Colleges and universities are stepping up their efforts to meet the needs of our military and veteran students and it is a great honor to continue to be considered among the best in the nation.”<\/p>\n

This is the fourth \u201cBest for Vets\u201d recognition NAU has received from Military Times<\/em> and the second year the college of business has received the recognition. In\u00a0November<\/a>, NAU\u00a0was named a top school for military veterans in Arizona and among the top third of colleges and universities nationally.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Times<\/em>\u2019 editorially independent news project evaluated\u00a0many factors<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0that make an institution a good fit for military veterans. Overall, schools were evaluated in five categories: university culture, student support, academic outcomes and quality, academic policies, and cost and financial aid.<\/p>\n
