Recent occurrences of measles in 14 states, including Arizona, have prompted Northern Arizona University to ask faculty and staff to take the necessary precautions to decrease the threat of a measles outbreak before it starts.<\/p>\n
There are no measles cases on campus, but Campus Health Services is recommending that all faculty and staff ensure they have been immunized or receive a vaccination through their provider or during an upcoming measles clinic at the Health and Learning Center.<\/p>\n
The clinic is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, in HLC room 2402, second floor. Bring your insurance card. Vaccinations also can be scheduled by appointment. It is safe to get the measles vaccine a second time if you are unsure if you have been immunized.<\/p>\n
