\u201cBecoming a Dream,\u201d a celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, will take place on Monday, Jan. 19.<\/p>\n
A march will begin at 1 p.m. at the University Union and end at the du Bois Center Ballroom on south campus. A program will begin at 1:30 p.m. with keynote speaker Darryl Scriven<\/a>, novelist, documentarian and co-founder of the African American Family Enrichment Institute.<\/p>\n The public is invited to join students and staff to celebrate this occasion.<\/p>\n The Black Student Union, the Office of the President, Student Life, Residence Life, Enrollment Management and Student Affairs and the Inclusion and Multicultural Services are coming together to present this longstanding event.<\/p>\n In the community, NAU\u2019s Civic Service Institute<\/a>\u00a0will partner\u00a0with United Blood Services to host a blood drive at the Murdoch Community Center from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.<\/p>\n The university\u00a0will be closed Monday, Jan. 19, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday<\/a>.\u00a0NAU permits are not required for parking\u00a0on campus\u00a0that day.
