Jane Kuhn<\/strong> has been selected as vice president for\u00a0Enrollment Management and Student Affairs at Northern Arizona University. The announcement was made today by NAU President Rita Cheng<\/strong>, concluding a national search.<\/p>\n

Kuhn has extensive experience at NAU, including responsibility for undergraduate admissions, orientation, financial aid and business intelligence since October 2011.<\/p>\n

\u201cJane truly cares about NAU, its students and the community,\u201d Cheng said. \u201cHer commitment to success is unquestioned, and our entire operation will benefit from her energy and ability.\u201d<\/p>\n

A native of Flagstaff, Kuhn received an undergraduate degree in finance from NAU in 1992 and a master\u2019s in management in 2002. She also completed a certificate in leadership in enrollment management from the University of Southern California in 2013.<\/p>\n

\u201cNorthern Arizona University\u00a0is an integral part of the community I am proud to call home,\u201d Kuhn said. \u201cI am honored and pleased to serve in this new role, and I have been fortunate during my time at NAU to work with so many talented and dedicated staff.\u201d<\/p>\n

During Kuhn\u2019s tenure overseeing undergraduate admissions, NAU continued to achieve record enrollment increases, and in fall 2013 experienced the largest one-time increase in new freshman enrollment in universities history. Kuhn also oversaw contract negotiations with American campus communities to build and operate more than 1,500 new beds on campus in fall 2012.<\/p>\n

During three years as NAU\u2019s chief facilities officer, beginning in 2008, Kuhn directed the completion of more than $100 million in capital projects.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving lived in Flagstaff my whole life, I am very familiar with the community and how the growth of the university can and does have an impact,\u201d Kuhn said. \u201cMy family is deeply rooted in public education.\u201d Kuhn\u2019s father taught high school in Flagstaff from 1958-83, and seven of her siblings and their children are teachers, four of whom graduated from NAU.<\/p>\n

Kuhn takes over a role that was filled for much of 2014 on an interim basis by Sarah Bickel, executive vice president and chief of staff.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
