The book also was reviewed in the\u00a0<em>Chronicle of Higher Education\u00a0<\/em>earlier this week<em>.\u00a0<\/em>Reviewer James M. Lang describes it as \u201can outstanding book that provides a road map for truly effective online teaching.\u201d Read the full review\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/chronicle.com\/article\/Educating-Minds-Online\/150743\/\">online<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Judson \u201cJut\u201d Wynne<\/strong>, assistant research professor in the department of Biological Sciences, was featured in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.livescience.com\/49075-pseudoscorpions-discovered-grand-canyon.html\">Live Science<\/a>\u00a0for the discovery of a new species of pseudoscorpions, hesperochernes bradybaughi, in a cave on the northern rim of the Grand Canyon. Unlike true scorpions, these arachnids lack a tail with a venomous stinger and instead use venom-packed stingers in their pincers to immobilize their prey, said Wynne.<\/li>\n<li>NAU\u2019s online master\u2019s of <a href=\"http:\/\/catalog.nau.edu\/Catalog\/details?plan=EDTCHMED&amp;catalogYear=1415\">educational technology<\/a> has been ranked <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thebestschools.org\/rankings\/25-best-online-master-educational-technology-degree-programs\/\">among the top 25 degree programs<\/a><\/strong> of its kind by\u00a0<em>TheBestSchools.org<\/em>. The website evaluated many factors including academic excellence, course offerings, faculty strengths and reputation for online degree programs.<\/li>\n<li>President <strong>Rita Cheng<\/strong> visited with local business leaders during a visit to NAU-Yuma.
