Franke College of Business, was recently elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of Flagstaff Medical Center. Fox also serves as the treasurer for Northern Arizona Healthcare, the parent corporation for FMC and Verde Valley Medical Center.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jasmine Mascarenas<\/strong>, physical therapy doctoral student, presented \u201cTotal Knee Arthoplasty rehabilitation focusing on a home exercise program as a primary treatment approach: a case study&#8221; at the Arizona Geriatrics Society 2014 Fall Symposium. Chun-Hsing Jun Ho, assistant professor of civil engineering, construction management and environmental engineering, was the technical adviser for the projects.<\/figcaption><\/figure>Six international undergraduate students took top honors for their research projects this week during the annual Arizona Pavements\/Materials Conference held at Arizona State University. Civil engineering majors\u00a0<b>Fawaz Almutairi<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b>Fahad Aloqaili<\/b>\u00a0won first place overall for \u201cEvaluating Freeze-Thaw Durability of Fiber Reinforced Pervious Concrete Mixtures.\u201d Also civil engineering majors\u00a0<b>Tassio Magassy<\/b>,\u00a0<b>Tamyres Da Silva<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b>Joao Lima<\/b>\u00a0took second place in the undergraduate competition for \u201cAsphalt Mixture Beams in the Bending Beam Rheometer for Quality Control: Material Preparation, Testing Process, and Field Application.\u201d Construction management major\u00a0<b>Kaiqi Zhang\u00a0<\/b>earned third place in the undergraduate competition for \u201cQuantifying Effect of Solar Radiation and Wheel Pressure on Performance of Asphalt Pavements.\u201d\u00a0<b>Chun-Hsing Jun Ho<\/b>, assistant professor of civil engineering, construction management and environmental engineering, teaches Highway Engineering and was the technical adviser for the projects.<\/li>\n<li>NAU School of Art\u2019s <strong>Elisa Wiedeman<\/strong> and <strong>Chelsea Tinklenberg <\/strong>were honored by the Arizona Art Education Association at the organization\u2019s annual conference. Wiedeman was named the organization\u2019s Outstanding Higher Education Art Educator and Tinklenberg received the Outstanding Higher Education Student of Achievement award.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ramona Mellott<\/strong>, dean of the College of Education and the Graduate College, was elected to the 2015 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npsma.org\">National Professional Science Master\u2019s Association<\/a> Board of Directors.<\/li>\n<li>NAU\u2019s <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/Student-Orgs\/Graduate-Student-Government\/\">Graduate Student Government<\/a><\/strong> received the 2014 National Association of Graduate-Professional Students Developing Member of the Year award for outstanding service and engagement in the Western region. <strong>Seonmin Park<\/strong>, vice president of the Graduate Student Government, also received the 2014 Award for Excellence in Service in recognition of her role as Director of Finance on NAGPS&#8217;s Board of Directors.<\/li>\n<li>Live and recorded broadcasts from NAU&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>School of Music<\/strong> will now be featured on KBAQ, Phoenix&#8217;s\u00a024-hour classical music NPR station. The broadcast agreement included this week\u2019s <strong>Shrine of the Ages Choir&#8217;s <\/strong>concert\u00a0with organist James Christie.
