Grobsmith delivered congratulatory remarks on behalf of NAU. The university is NAU&#8217;s oldest partner in China.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kathleen Viskocil<\/strong>, project manager for Facility Services, and <strong>Scott Perelstein<\/strong>, director of operations in Facility Services, have earned the <a href=\"http:\/\/appa.org\/home_credentialing.cfm\">Certified Educational Facilities Professional credential<\/a> from the Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers. APPA promotes leadership in educational facilities for professionals seeking to build their careers and elevate the value and recognition of facilities in education.<\/li>\n<li>Senior biomedical science major<strong> Austin Hasquet <\/strong>has been selected as a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.footballfoundation.org\/Programs\/ScholarAthletes\/NationalScholarAthleteAwardsPresentedFidelity.aspx\">2014 National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete<\/a> and is a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy. Hasquet will be honored at the NFF Annual Awards Dinner in December.<\/li>\n<li>The Center for International Education\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Mandy Hansen<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Angela Miller<\/strong>\u00a0along with Faculty Professional Development\u2019s\u00a0<b>Samantha Clifford<\/b>\u00a0presented \u201cContributions to the Scholarship of International Education: A Panel of Current Research\u201d at the NAFSA: Association of International Educators\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nafsa.org\/Connect_and_Network\/Engage_with_a_Community\/NAFSA_Regions\/Region_II\/Events\/2014_Region_II_Regional_Conference\/\">Region II conference<\/a>. They also presented \u201cExploring Effective Internationalization through an Examination of Student Interaction, Global Learning Initiatives and Gender and Administration\u201d at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.conahec.org\/?q=conference\/about-conference\">Consortium for North American Higher Education Collaboration<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Zachary Smith<\/strong>, Regents\u2019 professor, had a chapter titled \u201cThe Fragile Desert: Managing the Great Basin\u2019s Environmental Crisis\u201d published in the anthology, <em>Cities, Sagebrush, and Solitude<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Liz Grobsmith<\/strong>, special adviser to the president, conducted a session at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aplu.org\">Association of Public and Land Grant Universities<\/a>&#8216; annual meeting in Orlando.
