This can only mean one thing\u2014NAU Homecoming is near.<\/p>\n<p>This year you\u2019ll have plenty of opportunities to share your Lumberjack pride during the \u201cAxe of Kindness\u201d themed festivities. From Tuesday&#8217;s Dedicatee Banquet to Thursday&#8217;s Traditions Day to Saturday&#8217;s parade and football game\u2014there are a host of activities to celebrate NAU\u2019s past, present and future.<\/p>\n<p>A complete Homecoming schedule, including various college events and reunions, is available <a href=\"http:\/\/nau.edu\/Alumni\/Events\/Homecoming\/\"><strong>online<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Among the highlights:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, Oct. 21<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Homecoming Dedicatee Banquet<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>6 p.m. High Country Conference Center<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Joseph Anderson, professor of business, was <a href=\"http:\/\/stage.headlessnauedu-b6hgdzckfdgxgzhe.westus-01.azurewebsites.net\/business-professors-choice-as-dedicatee-is-right-on-the-button\/#.VD7xTUsk_fM\"><strong>selected Homecoming Dedicatee<\/strong><\/a> by leaders of student organizations from across campus for his dedication to providing exceptional service to the university and students. The campus community is invited to a banquet in his honor, where the 2014 Homecoming king and queen will be announced. Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for non-students. Tickets may be purchased <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/nau.ticketforce.com\/eventperformances.asp?evt=400\">online<\/a><\/strong> or at the Central Ticket Office in the University Union.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, Oct. 23<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Homecoming Traditions Day Activities<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>4-10 p.m. Central Quad<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Carnival<\/strong>, 4-10 p.m. Free fun for students. Bring your NAU ID.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tug-of-war contest<\/strong>, 4:30 p.m.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chili Cookoff<\/strong>, 5-5:30 p.m.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Best Beard on Campus Award<\/strong>, 6:15 p.m.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bonfire<\/strong>, 6:35 p.m.<\/li>\n<li><strong> Lumberjack Competition<\/strong>, 6:45 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Friday, Oct. 24<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lumberjack100years.com\"><strong>The Lumberjack: Celebrating 100 years of student journalism <\/strong><\/a><br \/>\n<strong>2- 5 p.m., School of Communication\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hear from NAU Communication alumni\u00a0working in diverse media fields and follow student guides as they take you on a tour of the state-of-the-art facility.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, Oct. 25<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Flannels and Flapjacks Breakfast<\/strong>,\u00a0\u00a07:30-9:30 a.m., North Quad<br \/>\nStudents will enjoy a free pancake buffet, barista station and lawn games.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Caf\u00e9 au Louie,<\/strong>\u00a09 a.m., Zane Grey Ballroom at the Hotel Weatherford<br \/>\nJoin NAU Alumni for a buffet-style\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/alumni.nau.edu\/eventregistration.aspx?evt=36\">breakfast<\/a>.
