They also have the opportunity to teach a \u201cdream course\u201d during their\u00a0fellowship.<\/p>\n<p>Fellows serve as leadership board members of the NAU\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nau.edu\/faculty-development\/teaching-academy\/\"><strong>Teaching Academy<\/strong><\/a>, which was created to recognize, support and reward effective teaching. The Teaching Academy is comprised of faculty members designated as their college teacher of the year.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for the President\u2019s Distinguished Teaching Fellow nominations is Friday, Dec. 5.
