Media Framing and Gendered Reactions to Men and Women Terrorists\u201d and graduate student\u00a0<strong>Matt Evans<\/strong>\u00a0presented a poster, \u201cA Softer Logic: The Role of the Moral Agency of the Soldier in the Petty Sovereign and the Broader Field of the Exception\u201d during the American Political Science Association Conference in Washington, D.C.Staudinger also recently co-authored an article titled,\u201cGendering Abbottabad: Agency and Hegemonic Masculinity in an Age of Global Terrorism,\u201d published in <em>Gender Issues<\/em> journal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Roderic Parnell<\/strong>, professor in the School of Earth Sciences and Environmental Sustainability,\u00a0<strong>Lauren Berutich<\/strong>, senior program coordinator for University College, and Facility Services program coordinators\u00a0<strong>Abraham Henn<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Nick Koressel<\/strong>\u00a0collaborated on the article, \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/stage.headlessnauedu-b6hgdzckfdgxgzhe.westus-01.azurewebsites.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/fall_2014_v35.1_parnell_berutich_henn_koressel.pdf\">The Campus as a Four-Year Undergraduate Learning Laboratory on Sustainability: Linking Facilities, Operations, Curriculum, and Community Engagement<\/a>,\u201d published in the\u00a0<em>CUR Quarterly<\/em>\u00a0fall issue.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jerry Anderfuren<\/strong>, NAU-TV producer-videographer, received seven\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rockymountainemmy.org\/awards\/emmy-awards\/2014-rocky-mountain-emmy-awards-nominees\/\">Emmy nominations<\/a>\u00a0from the Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter for his work on two promotional commercials for NAU. Lecturer\u00a0<strong>Angele Anderfuren<\/strong>\u00a0and NAU students\u00a0<strong>Alex Thomas<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Sergio Manzo<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Rehanna Thelwell<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Monika Beauvais<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Mari Cleven<\/strong>\u00a0also were involved in the production.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mara Friedland<\/strong>, adjunct art professor and academic advisor for Gateway Student Success Center, is a finalist in the Style Jewelry category of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.marthastewart.com\/americanmade\/nominee\/87995\/style\/mara-friedland-jewelry-designermetalsmith\">2014 Martha Stewart American Made Awards<\/a>. The awards program celebrates rising stars who have turned their passions for handcrafted, well-designed goods into small businesses with products made in America.<\/li>\n<li>Geology junior <strong>Savannah Tjaden<\/strong> is a recipient of the <a href=\"http:\/\/epa.gov\/ncer\/rfa\/2014\/2014_gro_undergrad.html\">2014 EPA Greater Research Opportunities Fellowship for Undergraduate Environmental Study<\/a>.
